- 10 long green chilies
- 1 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp fine sea salt (adjust to taste)
- Water (as needed for batter)
- Oil for frying (approximately 2 cups)
Instructions
- Wash the green chilies thoroughly; cut a slit down one side without halving them.
- In a bowl, combine gram flour, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Gradually add water to create a thick paste.
- Stuff each chili with the prepared mixture using a spoon.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium flame until hot but not smoking.
- Fry the stuffed chilies for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels before serving with yogurt or chutney.
