Instructions
- Rinse Arborio rice under cold water until water runs clear.
- In a medium saucepan, combine rinsed rice with whole milk, water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and salt over medium heat.
- Stir occasionally until the mixture reaches a gentle simmer.
- Reduce heat to low; cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring frequently until the rice is tender and creamy.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Serve warm or chill in the refrigerator; top with cinnamon or fresh fruit if desired.
