- 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix heavy cream with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the potato slices, pour half of the cream mixture over them, and sprinkle half of the cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes; remove foil after 30 minutes for a bubbly top.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
