- 1 lb large fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
- 2. Sauté Aromatics: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- 3. Add Shrimp: Incorporate shrimp into the skillet. Cook until pink and opaque (3-4 minutes), stirring occasionally.
- 4. Deglaze with Wine: Pour in wine and scrape up any bits from the pan bottom. Simmer for about 2 minutes.
- 5. Season: Stir in lemon juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- 6. Combine: Toss drained pasta with the shrimp mixture in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water as needed for sauce consistency. Finish with parsley.
