- 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ cup dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, reserving ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, approximately 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in white wine, simmer gently, scraping up any bits from the pan. Stir in lemon juice.
- Reduce heat, add cooked pasta and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss everything together until well combined.
- Finish with parsley, red pepper flakes, and salt to taste before serving hot.
