- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add diced onions and minced garlic; sauté until golden (about 3 minutes).
- Add ground beef; season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned (5-7 minutes), breaking it apart.
- Stir in marinara sauce; let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Nestle broken lasagna noodles into the sauce mixture, ensuring they are submerged.
- Spoon ricotta over the top and sprinkle mozzarella generously.
- Cover and cook on low heat for about 20 minutes until bubbly and melted. Allow to rest briefly before serving.
