- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (light)
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onion and green bell pepper until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Push vegetables aside and add ground beef; cook until browned (6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Stir in minced garlic; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Mix in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Cook until bubbly (about 5 minutes).
- Spoon generous amounts onto toasted buns and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
