- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 2 tbsp taco seasoning
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup chopped lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 avocado (sliced or mashed)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup salsa
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Sprinkle taco seasoning over the cooked beef and stir well. Let simmer for about five minutes to meld flavors.
- In another skillet over medium-high heat, place one tortilla at a time and spoon some seasoned beef onto each. Gently press down to flatten them slightly.
- Top each smashed taco with shredded cheese and fresh vegetables while still hot.
- Serve immediately with avocado, sour cream, and salsa on the side for customization.
