  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup chopped lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 avocado (sliced or mashed)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Sprinkle taco seasoning over the cooked beef and stir well. Let simmer for about five minutes to meld flavors.
  3. In another skillet over medium-high heat, place one tortilla at a time and spoon some seasoned beef onto each. Gently press down to flatten them slightly.
  4. Top each smashed taco with shredded cheese and fresh vegetables while still hot.
  5. Serve immediately with avocado, sour cream, and salsa on the side for customization.
