- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter.
- Sauté onions and garlic until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika; brown each side in the skillet for about 4 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and cream of mushroom soup; stir to combine.
- Cover and bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove from oven and stir in heavy cream; simmer on low heat for an additional 5 minutes before serving.
