  • 2 hoagie rolls or baguettes
  • 1 cup provolone or cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers (mix of red and green), sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for marinade + sautéing)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix 1 tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add steak strips and marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. 3. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers; sauté until softened (5-7 minutes).
  4. 4. Increase heat to high; add marinated steak to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until browned but still juicy.
