Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in cold butter until pea-sized crumbs form. Gradually mix in milk until a soft dough forms.
- Lightly flour your surface and knead the dough gently until smooth (about 1 minute). Roll into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
- For the filling, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and chopped strawberries in a separate bowl until smooth. Spread over the rolled-out dough evenly.
- Roll the dough tightly from one edge into a log shape and slice into equal pieces (about 1 inch thick). Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
