- 1 (12 oz) can high-quality tuna, drained
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients on your countertop. Prepare mixing bowls and measuring tools.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine drained tuna, breadcrumbs, green onions, eggs, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix well until combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick and place on parchment paper.
- Heat oil (about 1/4 inch deep) in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Once hot, fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer cooked cakes to paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite sauce.
