Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract, then alternate adding dry ingredients and milk until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in pans for about 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
