Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture, alternating with milk until just combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
