Instructions
- Place the fresh eggs gently in a pot.
- Add enough cold water to cover the eggs by about 1 inch.
- Heat on medium-high until boiling, then cover and turn off the heat.
- Let sit for 9 minutes for soft-boiled or 12 minutes for hard-boiled.
- Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes before peeling.
