Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1/4 cup honey (or sugar, adjusted to taste)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers. Let steep for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain into a pitcher, discarding the petals, and cool at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  4. Stir in 1/4 cup lemon or lime juice.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
