Ingredients

  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (or honey)
  • 3 fresh lemons (juiced)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and steep 4 black tea bags for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar while the tea is warm until dissolved.
  3. Squeeze the juice from 3 fresh lemons into the mixture, straining out any seeds.
  4. Add 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well. Refrigerate for at least one hour to chill.
  5. Serve over ice, garnished with mint leaves or lemon slices.
