- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
 - 1 cup fresh basil leaves
 - 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
 - 4 cups filtered water
 
Instructions
- Rinse the strawberries under cold water, remove the stems, and slice them into quarters.
 - In a large pitcher, combine half of the sliced strawberries with the basil leaves. Muddle gently to release their flavors.
 - Add granulated sugar and freshly squeezed lemon juice to the muddled mixture; stir until sugar dissolves.
 - Pour in the filtered water and add the remaining strawberry slices. Mix well.
 - Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill and allow flavors to meld. Serve over ice with additional basil for garnish.
