- 1 lb lean ground pork
- 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, shredded
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 4 cups chicken broth (low-sodium)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 oz rice noodles or wonton wrappers (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add ground pork; cook until browned (5-7 minutes), breaking it apart as you go.
- Stir in cabbage and carrots; sauté until softened (3-4 minutes).
- Pour in chicken broth and soy sauce; bring to a simmer for 10 minutes.
- If using, add rice noodles or wonton wrappers and cook according to package instructions (3-5 minutes).
- Stir in green onions just before serving.
