- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups freshly made mashed potatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add diced onions and minced garlic to the skillet; sauté until onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the meat mixture while stirring continuously; cook for an additional minute.
- Gradually pour in the beef broth while whisking to prevent lumps. Bring to a simmer and let it thicken for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve generous portions of gravy over fluffy mashed potatoes.
