- 3 lbs beef brisket
- 2 cups hickory or mesquite smoker chips (soaked)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 4 crusty artisan bread rolls
- 1 cup crispy onions (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the brisket and rub with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Marinate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C) and add the soaked smoker chips.
- Smoke the brisket for 12-15 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F (90°C). Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Slice the brisket against the grain.
- Assemble each sandwich with sliced brisket, drizzled barbecue sauce, and topped with crispy onions.
