  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Optional: 1 cup bell peppers, sliced; 1 cup broccoli florets

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Add steak strips and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the pasta: Boil salted water in a pot. Add fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  3. Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated steak strips and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  4. Add vegetables: If using, toss in sliced bell peppers or broccoli during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Combine: Pour reserved pasta and a splash of pasta water into the skillet with the steak. Toss gently to coat in sauce.
