- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tsp dried oregano (or 1 tbsp fresh)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl or zip-top bag, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and ensure they are thoroughly coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (preferably up to 4 hours).
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F).
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard any leftover marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving alongside your favorite sides.
