- 1 lb thinly sliced roast beef
- 4 sesame seed buns
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter (optional for caramelizing onions)
Instructions
- Assemble all ingredients on your countertop.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, warm the beef broth until steaming.
- If desired, melt butter in the saucepan and sauté the sliced onion until golden brown.
- Add the roast beef to the broth and simmer for about 5 minutes until heated through.
- Toast the sesame seed buns until lightly golden.
- Layer warm roast beef on the bottom half of each bun, top with caramelized onions and cheddar cheese, then close with the other half.
- Serve immediately alongside fries or salad.
