- 3 lbs beef brisket
- 2 medium sweet onions, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/4 cup brown sugar

- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the brisket and pat dry.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice blend generously over the brisket; let sit at room temperature while preparing other ingredients.
- Sauté onions in oil until golden; add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour beef broth into the slow cooker; layer sautéed onions on the bottom, then place brisket on top.
- Cook on low for 8–10 hours or high for 4–5 hours until fork-tender.
