- 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
 - 1 medium onion, diced
 - 1 cup bell peppers, diced (mixed colors)
 - 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
 - 2 cups cooked pasta or rice
 - 1 tsp garlic powder
 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - ½ cup bread crumbs
 
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
 - In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onions until translucent.
 - Add the ground beef, cooking until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Break it up with a spatula.
 - Stir in diced bell peppers; cook for another 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
 - Mix in canned tomatoes and seasonings. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
 - Combine the meat mixture with cooked pasta or rice in a bowl until well mixed.
 - Transfer to a greased casserole dish, top with shredded cheddar cheese and bread crumbs.
 - Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
