- 2 slices of sourdough bread
- 2 oz cheddar cheese (or your choice)
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- Optional: Sliced tomatoes, avocado, or bacon
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice butter-side down in the skillet; layer cheese on top.
- Add any optional ingredients if desired.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook until golden brown (about 3-4 minutes). Flip carefully and repeat on the other side.
- Once both sides are crispy and the cheese is melted, remove from heat and serve warm.
