- 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté sliced onions and green peppers until soft (about 5-7 minutes).
- Increase heat to medium-high, add ribeye strips, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned (3-4 minutes).
- Lower heat slightly, layer provolone cheese over the steak and veggies, cover with a lid to melt the cheese.
- Slice hoagie rolls down the middle without cutting through, lightly toast if desired.
- Assemble sandwiches by scooping the cheesy steak mixture into each roll. Serve hot with optional toppings.
