Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, herbs, salt, and pepper. Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil until shimmering.
- Sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Remove the chicken and add broth, honey/maple syrup, and soy sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Return the chicken to the pan; simmer for another minute until coated in sauce.
