- 1 lb flank steak
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, cumin, garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Prepare the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F). Clean grates and brush with olive oil.
- Grill the Steak: Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side until medium-rare (135°F).
- Rest & Slice: Transfer steak to a cutting board and rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice against the grain into thin strips.
- Serve: Garnish with cilantro and serve with desired toppings like diced onions and lime wedges.
