- 8 oz pasta of choice (fettuccine or penne)
- 4 oz cream cheese (full-fat)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare your pasta by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
- Stir in the cream cheese until fully melted. Gradually pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously until smooth.
- Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese along with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined and heated through (3-5 minutes).
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing gently until evenly coated in the sauce. If desired, garnish with chopped parsley before serving hot.
