- 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
- 12 oz smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), sliced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 tsp black pepper, freshly cracked
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients by chopping cabbage and slicing sausage.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; sauté until fragrant and golden, about 5 minutes.
- Add sausage and cabbage to the skillet; stir well to combine. Cook for about 8-10 minutes until the cabbage wilts.
- Pour in chicken broth; bring to a simmer. Cook for another 15-20 minutes until flavors meld.
- Season with black pepper to taste and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve hot directly from the skillet.
