Ingredients

  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Rinse and drain the canned chickpeas thoroughly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chickpeas, cumin, paprika, and salt. Cook for about 5 minutes until they start to sizzle and brown slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and drizzle freshly squeezed lemon juice over the chickpeas.
  5. Garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley before serving.
