- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each piece is fully coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
- Preheat your grill to about 400°F (200°C).
- Remove chicken from the marinade (discard leftover marinade) and grill for about 6-7 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the grilled chicken rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
