Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs round steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp salt (to taste)
- 1 tsp black pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients by chopping the onion and mincing the garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the seasoned round steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pan, sautéing for approximately 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the beef broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and the steak to become tender.
- Just before serving, sprinkle with fresh herbs for an aromatic finish.
