- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Scrub the potatoes thoroughly under cold water and dry them completely.
- Poke several holes in each potato with a fork to prevent bursting.
- Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt.
- Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes until tender.
- Let cool slightly, then slice open and add butter, sour cream, cheese, or your favorite toppings.
