- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until bubbly. Mix in granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
- Whisk in the eggs one at a time and add vanilla extract until well combined.
- Sift cocoa powder, flour, and salt over the wet mixture and gently fold until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
- Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool slightly before cutting into squares and serving warm.
