Instructions
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour until golden and bubbly (about 2 minutes).
- Gradually add the milk while whisking continuously. Cook until thickened (about 5 minutes), ensuring no lumps remain.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese until completely melted and glossy.
- Toss the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce until well coated.
- Serve immediately while warm.
