Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions

- Dip each chicken breast into the flour, then egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the breaded chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- In a baking dish, spread marinara sauce on the bottom, place the cooked chicken on top, add more marinara sauce, and layer with mozzarella slices.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
