Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually mix in flour and baking soda until just incorporated; avoid over-mixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips and crushed Oreos until evenly distributed.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dollops of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges but still soft in the center. Cool on baking sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
