- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Rinse chicken breasts under cold water and pat dry.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onions and minced garlic until translucent.
- Place seasoned chicken in the crockpot; add sautéed onions, garlic, BBQ sauce, and chicken broth.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until the chicken shreds easily with a fork.
- Shred the chicken with two forks and mix back into the sauce before serving.
