- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by mixing warm water and sugar in a bowl; sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil; mix until combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
