- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 package (1.75 oz) powdered pectin
Instructions
- Wash and hull the strawberries; slice them into halves or quarters.
- In a large bowl, mash the strawberries until desired consistency is reached.
- In a stockpot over medium heat, combine mashed strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir occasionally until bubbling.
- Sprinkle in the powdered pectin while stirring continuously; bring to a rolling boil for 1 minute.
- Test for doneness by placing a spoonful on a cold plate—if it holds shape, it's ready!
- Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, seal tightly, and cool at room temperature before refrigerating.
