- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 1 package (17.3 oz) puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp water (egg wash)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground lamb, chopped onion, parsley, cumin, coriander, and salt until combined.
- Shape the mixture into compact logs about 3 inches long.
- Roll out puff pastry sheets on a floured surface until thin and cut into squares.
- Place one kofta log in the center of each square and fold over the edges to seal.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush each burek with egg wash.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
