  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (75g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe banana in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix melted butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla; stir until blended.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently until combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. If desired, add nuts or chocolate chips and fold in gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
