- 6–8 ripe peaches, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ cup milk
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, toss sliced peaches with half the sugar (½ cup), cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar (½ cup), baking powder, and salt. Add melted butter and milk; mix until just combined.
- Pour half the batter into a greased baking dish. Layer peach slices over it and dollop remaining batter on top.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
