Instructions
- Cook the Salmon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the fresh salmon for about 5-7 minutes on each side until opaque and flaky. Let cool slightly before flaking into pieces.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flaked salmon, sautéed onion and garlic, breadcrumbs, herbs, mayonnaise, egg, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until fully combined.
- Shape Patties: Form the mixture into palm-sized patties and refrigerate for about 15 minutes to firm up.
- Cook Patties: Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Fry each patty for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Serve: Enjoy warm with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
