Instructions

  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually mix in milk and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gently until just combined.
  6. Spoon dollops of batter onto the prepared sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While cooling, whip the chilled heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Assemble by layering cake, strawberries, and whipped cream.
