- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Fresh dill for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper until just combined.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear meatballs until golden brown (5–7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until golden brown.
- Gradually add beef broth while whisking continuously until thickened. Stir in sour cream and Worcestershire sauce.
- Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
