  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh dill for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  2. Roll the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear meatballs until golden brown (5–7 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until golden brown.
  5. Gradually add beef broth while whisking continuously until thickened. Stir in sour cream and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes to absorb flavors.
