  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Fresh cilantro or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, lime juice, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Whisk until well blended.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat or an oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. For pan-searing: Add a bit of oil to the skillet and place the salmon skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown before flipping.
  5. For baking: Place marinated fillets on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Brush additional marinade over the salmon during the last minute of cooking for extra flavor.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with cilantro or green onions if desired, and serve hot with rice or veggies.
